We want to make NHS dental care as straightforward and accessible as possible. If you’re receiving treatment under the NHS, your costs are set by national guidelines and fall into clearly defined bands based on the type of care you need.
Whether it’s a routine check-up or more advanced treatment, we’ll always explain which band your care falls under and what it includes, so you know exactly what to expect.
This covers the most basic dental care and includes:
A full dental examination
Diagnosis (including X-rays if needed)
Advice on how to prevent dental problems
Scale and polish (if clinically necessary)
Fluoride varnish application
Preventative care such as fissure sealants
This covers additional treatments such as:
Fillings
Root canal treatment
Tooth extractions
Other simple dental procedures
This covers more complex procedures such as:
Crowns
Dentures
Bridges
Laboratory work for advanced restorations
Please note: These charges apply to each course of treatment, not per visit. You will only be charged once for each band, regardless of how many appointments your treatment requires.
If you’re unsure which band your treatment falls into, our team will explain everything clearly before you begin.

At Z Dental, we believe everyone should have access to quality dental care, and we’re proud to provide a full range of NHS dental services to support the oral health of our local community.
Whether you need a routine check-up, urgent treatment or help maintaining your everyday oral hygiene, our team is here to offer the same level of care, respect and professionalism to every patient, regardless of how their treatment is funded.
We’re committed to making essential dental care accessible, affordable and easy to understand, because your health and comfort matter to us.
